In this role, you’ll oversee the entire utility interconnection process for residential and commercial solar projects — from preparing applications to securing final approvals. You’ll serve as the key liaison between engineering teams, project managers, and utility companies, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and processed on time.

Utility Interconnection Coordinator VA Oct 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit interconnection applications for residential and commercial solar projects to appropriate utility companies.
  • Review utility requirements, tariffs, and interconnection policies to ensure project compliance.
  • Track the progress of interconnection applications and follow up with utilities to ensure timely processing and approval.
  • Communicate directly with utility representatives to resolve application discrepancies, technical questions, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including engineering, design, permitting, and project management to collect necessary project documentation.
  • Review system designs, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Manage interconnection agreements, approval letters, and authorization to operate (PTO) documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interconnection activities within company databases and project management systems.
  • Monitor and report on utility timelines, trends, and updates to ensure process efficiency and compliance.
  • Support internal teams with interconnection-related training, guidance, and process improvements.
  • Assist in resolving any post-installation interconnection or meter-related issues.

$4.5 an hour

Mondays to Fridays US Time shift

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php36,000.00 – Php40,000.00 per month
