We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented part-time Podcast Editor to join our team. As a Podcast VA, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the high-quality production and delivery of our podcast episodes. You will work closely with the podcast host(s) and other team members to edit and polish the audio content, ensuring a smooth and engaging listening experience for our audience.

Job Description:
Responsible for various audio editing tasks, managing show notes and transcripts, uploading content to website platforms, and ensuring smooth communication with clients.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in podcast show notes writing and formatting, creating show graphics, and audiograms, possess excellent written communication skills, and be familiar with podcast hosting and various website platforms.
Responsibilities:
Write and format engaging show notes copy optimized for SEO
Edit and proofread episode transcripts for accuracy, readability, and grammar.
Upload podcast episodes and related content to WordPress, Wix, and other website platforms, ensuring proper formatting and alignment.
Organize and manage the scheduling of podcast episodes on various podcast hosting platforms for about 6-10 clients per week.
Create episode and audiogram graphics in Canva.
Create audiograms for episodes in Buzzsprout and Descript.
Communicate effectively with clients to inform them when episodes are ready for review and promptly address any feedback or requests.Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in podcast editing and production.
BONUS:
ability to edit podcast audio files, ensuring high-quality sound, removing background noise, and enhancing overall audio clarity
Requirements:
Prior experience working on podcast production, or similar role.
Proficiency in Audacity, GarageBand, and Descript.
Prior experience in writing engaging show notes optimized for SEO, editing, and proofreading transcripts.
Proficient with podcast hosting platforms: Libsyn, Buzzsprout.
Proficient with Canva and creating graphics and working with templates.
Proficient with WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines each week.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Tech-savvy and adaptable to new software and tools.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote work.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in graphic design for creating podcast episode covers and promotional materials as needed.
Photoshop and Canva
Familiarity with SEO principles and optimizing podcast content for searchability
Proficient with using cloud storage programs: Dropbox and Google Drive
Comfortable with collaboration tools: Dropbox, Asana and Slack
